The Airdogs come with a new 1/2in all metal draw straw with the quick connect fitting already on it. So everything you need for installing the air dog is included

Depends if you have a intank pump or not. I did, and used the Vulcan DSV (5), and it works really well. All the fuel, both from the engine fuel system and from my FASS, return into the fuel basket keeping it full. I no longer have. 1/4 tank issue as I did with a DS1, which was just a stainless tube that went to the bottom of the tank. If you don't have an intank pump you should be OK to make your connections to the top of the tank and be done.

how do you know if you have an in tank pump unless u drop the tank and look?

RAW 12-28-2010 12:59 PM

If it isn't on the block or frame rail, then its in the tank. Turning the key on and bumping that started will make it run for 20 seconds or so, in that time period you can listen for it.

if i have an intank pump u dont need a draw straw or to drill anything

it also lets you use up all the fuel in the tank i believe. the stock unit sometimes doesnt suck up the last quarter tank. so if your a "light rider" then i suggest it for you

I can run mine past the empty mark on the gauge. I've put 120 liters in, but I was a little nervous at how low it was. Still, no hickups or anything, fuel pressure held solid. 120 liters is 31.7 US gallons, FYI.

"Tank should not be run below approx. 1/8-1/4 due to sloshing in the unbaffled tank."
From the Vulcan site. I have run my tank really really low too. Its just not a good idea
