So I am reciving a set of twin turbos from my brother in law and i want to know how much hp i will be gaining. I know i all varies but i was just wondering. I would also like to know any onther mods i should do to keep up with them.
Thanks:hellox: |
Be glad to give some advice fill out your signature and tell us what you have rite now. What kinda compuonds are you getting?
|
Sorry I dont know much about them ill ask him asap though:tu:
|
Well the first thing you gotta do is get a fuel pressure gauge and a fass or airdog to keep your fuel pressure in check then if you want to one day you could add some injectors and a better fueling box like and Edge juice or comp or a quad addrenaline box the juice and quad come with displays for all your gages like FP, EGT,trans and boost and all other things. Also if you have a manual your gunna need a clutch if its an auto get a good converter and valve body and remember to keep boost under 45psi to make sure you don't lift the head and blow a headgasket

the turbos are Hx35 and a Hx 55
|
I'm using the HX35 as the top turbo in my setup also but I don't no anything about the HX55 sounds like a nice turbo for a bottom turbo tho
|
Thanks I cant wait to get them on.
Thanks for the info:c: |
what all is done to your truck right now? with out knowing what injectors, programmer/downloader u have, lift pump, we cant even come close to telling u how much. also, is your truck an auto or manual, and is it set up to hold the power. theres alot more to it than just throwing twins on.

Agreed, we can be more helpful when we know what we are dealing with. Let us know what you have, and what mods have been made, from there we can give TOO much advice.

98.5 Twin Turbo Upgrade
My truck is an auto trans stock
Stock fuel supply Stock injectors 4" straight pipe Ez chip by edge Drip in k&n 6" lift with 35's |
You'll need a better lift pump as soon as you can, it will save your $1000+ injection pump. The EZ doesn't fuel hard enough to warrant compounds, but building for future bombs is always a good idea. That stock auto will also give you troubles.
|
i wouldnt even try putting hose twins on your truck with out upgrading your trans first. a stock auto wont even try to hold it. second, u will be needing head studs, cause with that much air, u have a very big chance to pop the head gasket the first time u get on it and the twins light. like stated, u have no where enough fueling mods to need twins, or to even light them.
sorry for being such a downer man |
Thank you all for the info I am getting the twins in a trade for another turbo so i am getting them at almost no cost to me.
it sucks trying to mod on a budget:argh: |
