HY35 Compound setup

Is this possible with either a kit that is sold or making one myself. I have seen some of the threads posted about twins that utilize an HX35 and an S300 or S400. I would like to keep my factory turbo but is this really practical?

The HY has a small exh housing, and may be too restrictive. I am running a HX35 w/12cm housing, and a S400 and it works really well.

So would the best option be to find an inexpensive HX35 then go that route? What kind of pressure are you making RAW?

Nevermind, read the sig.

I would strongly suggest a HX. Bigger wheels, and a bigger exh housing.
Here is a thread on my set up:

Feel free to ask any about anything.

It can be done. Great set up for a towing but you probably will have to run an external wastegate or work the stock gate over hard.

That's not much different than the 341 I'm running on my twins except the 341 has a better gate design and exhaust outlet.

I'm guessing 500 horse would be the upper limits on a setup like this. The great thing is spoolup is almost like stock. If you adjust the gate right on the small turbo and limit boost to 50 to 55 lbs. there shouldn't be a problem. I've been running the 341-3b for two years now on a 300,000 mile stock long block with no problems. I tow alot with this setup and it's the best towing of the 4 sets of twins I've had.

The main thing with twins is setting the boost on the small turbo right and not throwing to much fuel at them and overboosting.

I'll be putting the W/G back on mine today. I have more then enough air for my fuel, and want to keep my head gasket in one sealed piece.

Hey RAW, did you O-Ring the head?

Also, does this look like its about the correct kit?

I haven't o-ringed yet, I'm running on luck currently. I didn't get the W/G back in today, I can't without replumbing the air pipes.:argh:

Look like it will do, mine is different but I made everything myself. I also had a S400 already, and only spent about $700 all said and done.
