Besides seeing smoke, it's pointless. Just like burnout contests- pointless and for attention-******, like an ex of mine who thinks he's so cool for doing a burnout in a parking lot and then having a cop make him leave.
Maybe I'm just the type of person that spends money/time on stuff that will actually be useful.
It's clearly not good though.

a dodge Cummins mechanic told me this!
Just because he is a "mechanic" that works on Diesels at Dodge doesn't make him right. The last "mechanic" from Dodge that touched my truck didn't know the difference between a HX35 and a HY35! He told me I had the wrong turbo on my truck because it wasn't the same as his.
How about this, I am a Certified Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (that part is true), and I say its OK to run without a airfilter. You'll get more power! Ugh.

I don't like to say "do it" or "don't do it", but I do like to bring 10 years of diesel mechanics and my personal experience to the subject. If you want an esay way to roll coal, go for it. If you want to ligamently get smoke from power, go a different way. I prefer to have clean power.
