h1c/hx35 twins
Can I do a twin turbo setup with holset h1c turbo and holset hx35 turbo? I plan to upgrade my vp44 soon and possible bigger injectors

drive pressure might be an issue as well as egts

You would not gain much - both are on the small side. We usually go to twins (compounds) to REDUCE egt's and gain flow. Both your turbos are too similiar in flow so you would not gain much - the heat (egt's) would set in before horsepower was really gained. You could wastegate the higher pressure one - the one on the manifold but by the time you need more flow your 2ndary turbo would be heating the crud out of the flow. Go bigger on low pressure turbo - you will gain flow without heating and use a wastegate to reduce flow to the small high pressure one but direct it back in before the big turbo. Plumbing is harder but reward much greater.

Could I use my stocke hx35 for the top one and a hx40 for the lower, or do I need to go bigger still on the second. I am wanting a very streatable setup that spools immediatly

HX40 isnt big enough. Look at a K31

You can definitely use a HX35 as a top turbo, I am. Saves a pile of cash and works pretty good, IMO. My S400 is a bit big and a little lazy, but I am much better off with this setup then the HX35 alone.

Yeah but if you get more fuel like a set of 150's your twins will spool nicely

I have a set of 150's waiting to go in.

That thing is gonna scream buddy!!!
