I'd say the recommended Mopar 4+, or whatever it is. Has a higher temp rating than the normal ATF 3 stuff. If your going to flush it, use whatever you like. If not, the fluids should match, and be compatible.

Yep ATF+4 is recommended.PepBoys,Autozone, etc, etc carry this.Filter you can use the closed type (this means one with the hole at the bottom of the filter).

You might want to do a band adjustment.. 94+ Ram AT band adjustment

And a master rebuild kit to .. "RE" HD Master Electrical Kit 00 Up

I see time and time again that guys and gals replace there fuild and pan(deeper) and 3 months later there having shifting problems.I am all for if its not broke don't fix it,but for some reason deeper pans seem to change the flow or flow rate to the VB.

Do this above and there is no problems.JMO:pca1::c:

changing the pan size has nothing to do with the problem of shifting. It's nice to add some coolant. I have the b&m on mine. If you don't maintain your trans then add a new pan or just service it, it causes issues to come up. No matter how big the pan is the pump is only going to pump so much.

I'm going for more oil means less heat just like the cummins 3 gallons of oil. The pans is very thick w/ lots of fins for cooling, i'll take some pic, it also has trans. temp probe hole. I will install her this weekend weather willing. also got ATF +4 full synthetic oil 10 quarts..... wow i'm going to have to sell the truck to pay for the stuff i'm adding.

thats the cheap part put money away for a trans... Diesels are not cheap but they hold up well. Unless the modified the pan since I got mine before they put the trans temp probe hole in them (mine didn't have one) you may have to grind the solenoid bracket a little so the pan will fit. That was only issue I had. almost identical pan to a mag hytec but less money

Just looking at the two, B&M's is cheaper, has the same options, and has more capacity. I'm not too sure who would spend the extra $130 on the BD.
