Heated Mirrors
 

My heated mirrors on my 01 dont work any more. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix for it? Does any one know what happens to them?

Fuse ? switch ? I wouldn't think both elements burned out at the same time. :c:

If you check those and they are good. Pull off one the mirrors and put a volt meter on it and verify it is getting power.

Can you take the glass out of the housing so I can test it right at the element? The switch lights up and I can hear what sounds like a relay clincking so I am assuming that the switch and fuse is fine.

I know my right mirror has not heat to it. It is the element as well. I'm planning on getting heated tow mirrors in the future, so I am not making any repairs at this time.

Both mine quit working a couple years ago. New mirror glass on both sides and that solved it. You can replace them by prying very gently near the center of the mirror so you don't break them. Both of mine came out with no cracks or breaks. The new glass snaps back in place but you need to make sure they are snapped all the way in.
