Which light are you talking about?

:humm:, like Luke said, which one is that? A factory one that I am not aware of, or do you have a after market fuel pressure warning light? It you have an after market light, and it's on, either the connection is bad or you have low pressure. Judging by the lack of power I would say you have a lack of fuel pressure.

well its the replacement mount on the side of the block fuel pump. and stock fuel light. and i thought it would be fuel press so i put a secondary fuel pump on so it should be geting enough fuel press...but maby the one that is on the block is just slowing the fuel pressure down?

So you plumed the fuel system with two pumps on the same fuel line. I thought that would be a good idea. I bet your factory lift pump is weak. I would not replace it with factory pump as they are crap. Possibly a DDRP from Fass? What ever your choice please post the fix.

im gonna try to just take the stock fuel pump out of the equation and c how that works and ill post the results when its finished

are you talking about the light on your dash that looks like a gas pump? and lets you know when your tank is empty?

no its under the rpm guage. and its deffinatly saying fuel pump. i can't get the code checked becuase its not accepting the obd II scan tool.

Again, there is no light for the fuel pump (at least from the factory).

Lets get our terminology correct here - there is a lift (or transfer) pump that supplies low pressure fuel (<15 psi) to the Injector Pump. The Injector pump (VP-44 in this case), delivers high pressure fuel to the injectors (~20000 psi or so - cant remember). There really is no "fuel pump"

Have you tried a different scanner ?

Have you checked actual fuel pressure? with a manual gauge to see what psi you are at. And as others have stated im not aware of any fuel pump light in the instrument cluster.
