how would a super b work for me

how would a super b 57/65/14 work for my truck with the bombs in my sig?

bobcat67 09-13-2010 10:06 PM

probably will work great, but i would go with a 62/65/12 just cause it would probably be even better

rednekroper05 09-13-2010 10:25 PM

well i found a used one that they say has about 8k on it for about $825 just wondering how well it would work and if it would be worth it

bobcat67 09-13-2010 11:07 PM

yeah i'd say it'd be worth it i'd offer em $700 cash

it should work well, but if your planning on adding more fuel later etc it's pretty limited for later bombs. a 62 is more versatile

SuperB is a nice turbo, add some 75hp or 100hp injectors and you will be very happy.

You can also add a larger turbo down the road for a compound setup. You could build your own kit or buy a kit from BD.

It will be a good turbo for up to and around 425 IMO. I would be a bit Leary of buying a used turbo unless you know the guy selling it IMO just from past expireinces

have the turbo gone threw before purchase........and get some injectors youll be very happy:tu:

Yup, it's a great little turbo. But it is basically a stock replacement. They are very well put together but they just do not flow enough air for big power.

They run good as a set of twins, that is the top turbo used on the BD towing twins. Those twins are good for about 575 horse.

I'm in the same boat as far as buying a used turbo. Have it checked out if you can. Shaft play in and out is a very bad deal means the bearing are shot. Check for soot inside the compressor housing that would show you if the turbo has been barked a lot which is the main reason bearing go out, that and shutting them down hot.

Is your truck an auto or a manual?

If you have a manual check out the Super B Special it will make the same amount of power as the twins but only half the price. If you have an auto stay away from the Special, it will bark and surge like crazy.....

Best of luck on your decision! They are great little turbos it just depends on what your goals for the truck are!
