Fuel Pressure Gauge Install

Ok guys, I just bought a GlowShift FP gauge for now just to cover my 6 until I can get a little more money for a complete set. But anyways, all I received from GlowShift was the sending unit, the gauge and the wiring harness that connects to the rear of the gauge wires are only about 12 in. long. What else do I need to make this install happen today?

Re: Fuel Pressure Gauge Install

Do you know if its a mechanical or electronic gauge?

Get a tapped banjo bolt and install on the outlet of the fuel filter housing (on the bottom). Mount the sender on the fender and connect the two with a grease gun hose (1/8" npt thread), run your wire through the firewall to the guage.

Should be - although you left the part about the raptor out. Your install should look something like this (minus the needle valve for the mechanical guage):

Attachment 45349

Alternately, you could install the grease gun hose on the test port right on the VP-44 but I wouldnt recommend doing that. The test port is a test port and you should leave it free for that reason. JMO of course.

To install it on the test port it would look something like this (again minus the needle valve):

Attachment 45350

Hope that helps.

Sweet, make sure you have a real good ground (bare metal) for the sender ground or you may get some crazy fuel pressure readings.
