ok all you adrenaline users looking for best tune for drag strip

going to the strip tonight and going to compare the drag comp to the adrenaline on my truck. So need some tunes to try while out there. so post them up and we will see. it's the new pulse and new adr.

Jazz 09-01-2010 05:16 PM

I would give the ADR Comp tune a try. As far as settings all trucks seem to react differently. Not sure how your truck would handle either the dyno or torque tune on the track. But I'm willing to wait and find out:pca1:

I upgraded to the 4k box, so there is only one tune available at the moment... :humm:
I really like it better than any previous tune I had ever used before I have to say. :c:

I use the adrcomp one as welll. Or have I should say. Now I use the Adrcomp2-4k which seems to me and my truck to be one of the best, or runs good for me. I like to fuel high when on the highway taking off from 55+ so that works well. And when it gets above 2000rpm it fuels fairly hard....

Jazz 09-02-2010 06:31 AM

How was the trip to the track?:pca1:

01quadcab 09-02-2010 12:08 PM

having some issue either with converter or electrical neither box would make over 60psi and I normally make 80+ down the track. I can say the quad launched harder but neither box would break into the 12's. I think the converter is was not locking up and just pushing through it. on my way home I was able to mess with driving the truck and if I lugged the thing in over drive and then got on it I could hit 80psi so I am leaning towards it's not locking up.

on another note where do you find and download the tunes from?

Quad finally came out with a box that actually fuels to 4k for those of us with more heavily modified trucks. It's very smooth and pulls nice, only drawback is that it sets a check engine light. Small price to pay for smooth performance though... :c:

how well do you like this? Once I get my issue taken care of is it worth me sending mine in and upgrading it?

I was having some major surging issues with most of the tunes posted for the Adrenaline. There was only one tune that was streetable for daily driving, but it was a lesser tune. If you don't have the surging issues with your truck, then you are probably better off keeping your current box. For those of us with bigger sticks, it's much nicer to deal with. As I said though, the drawback is looking at the check engine light on a regular basis. Personally, I am ecstatic with the new 4k box. I like it way better than anything else I have run on the truck.

I would say some lightning 3 sticks are pretty darn big. Yes I have surging issues with the truck now and then already. I don't care about check engine light it is on every trip to the strip due to the top speed eliminator.

Not true.:w2:

01quadcab 09-28-2010 03:40 PM

so I really need to know if it's worth it with my setup now the drag comp is 2 tenths faster. I would like to see if I can't get more out of this before it goes back stock. put 683 down at topeka at the world finals.

silverram323 09-28-2010 03:43 PM

Care to share your setup to reach 683 hp? Twins? Pm is ok.

01quadcab 09-29-2010 11:51 PM

compounds a 62/71/14 over an s475 drag comp and lightning 3's.

silverram323 09-30-2010 07:55 AM

Very nice, What Vp are you using? I just put on a set of twins (this monday) 62/65/14 over a s475. My Box is a 4K quadzilla and I run Lightning IIs. I have a SO vp and was wondering about trying LT3s but was wondering if it would drain out the vp? DO you have bigger lines or tubes? Dyno day is Saturday and I'm hoping for a 625hp number. Thanks bud.

01quadcab 09-30-2010 11:14 AM

so vp44 stock lines and tubes. from the people I know that went to bigger lines and tubes they lost power and driveability. I already have my sticks sold when I return my truck to stock. have to smog it next year.

silverram323 09-30-2010 11:26 AM

You read my mind, That was my next question. If they back out keep me in mind. So a SO VP, lt-3 sticks, edge drag comp, and 62/475 twins will get ya 683? any meth or nos? any other special goodies. Those are awesome numbers. Do you clean up the lt-3 sticks? I still have a light grey haze with the lt-2s. thanks for the info and help.

01quadcab 09-30-2010 12:43 PM

I tried water it puts the fire out, no nos but I know with these sticks on nos it has potential for 1000hp. I did go with titanium retainers and 110# valve springs with mr bobs boots. makes a little over 80psi down the track.

PLMCRZY 10-04-2010 11:23 AM

Impressive numbers man, especially on a So pump.

silverram323 10-04-2010 08:05 PM

Here is my dyno sheet.
