turbo rebuild problem
I have everything back together and so close to being done and having it on the road again. When we had it all said and done (before housings went on) we tightened the nut down that holds the compressor wheel on and its tightening everything to where the wheels cant spin. there has to be something missing? is this common with something certain not put back together right? I cant figure it out for the life of me.....

The comp wheel should bottom on the shaft when tight, and not hit the housing. If it does, I'm guessing something is preventing the shaft to protrude through the center section enough. Hanging up on bearings, or something cought behind the exh wheel and housing.

well ..... does the exh wheel lock into the housing with and snap ring like piece? If so could that be the problem not having a good snap ring?

heres a link to a write up that might help

this should help a little. but ive followed what he did and the only thing i can think of is the retaining clip on the shaft being bad and not locking it in so to speak.. would that be enough to messed up the wheels locking when trying to finish up?
