super b or hx35 +ht60 =twins

i have asked a similar question i think but i cant find it so im asking the experts again lol. I have both an hx35 and a super b and soon a ht60 which turbo setup would be the best for towing and daily driving?

RAW 08-25-2010 08:46 PM

Super B and HT60 would be the better combination for COMPOUNDS.

kyle davis 08-26-2010 05:45 AM

what kind of boost and spool up will i get?

24vcumminscowboy 08-26-2010 07:47 AM

spool should be fast and im not an expert but i would guess anywhere from 70 to 100psi also ur goin to want some head studs before the twins go on

RAW 08-26-2010 08:02 AM

Hard question to answer as boost is directly related to fuel. With your set up now, I'd say 60-65PSI to be conservative.

mxtuner1 08-27-2010 04:16 AM

And above 50 lbs remember head studs

01quadcab 08-27-2010 12:08 PM

just run the super b it's not a big charger and will tow just fine. If I remember right a super b is only a 58 and how is that bd keeping up with your fuel pressure? what injectors are you currently running?

kyle davis 08-28-2010 09:38 PM

i have the super b on and i think it is about at the limit when i pull something because it sounds like it is surging bad and no to mention it can hardly keep up with the fuel im pushing i guess because if i turn my edge above 2 or 3 it seems to make the truck slower and just makes a huge black cloud:). i have 100 hp injectors... i know i need a airdog or fass and some head studs but i also found out i have the 53 block so if i do this which i plan to do i have decided to take it easy on it

BIG NIG 08-28-2010 11:20 PM

if the 53 block hasnt cracked yet i wouldnt worry about it

kyle davis 12-23-2010 10:05 PM

still havin issues with this.......

RAW 12-23-2010 10:09 PM

Upgrade your lift pump yet?

kyle davis 12-24-2010 01:04 AM

yea fuel isnt a problem now.. so as far as i can tell i have all the fuel i can get so to speak from my setup, but is it enough to spool the super b and ht60 twins? ive not been able to find or get a definite anwser.....

As someone who has run that set-up, yes, you have just enough fuel and can make 60-65psi. You can also plumb in an external gate for the HT60 and tune the two gates to keep boost/drive low and still flow plenty of air for your needs.:c:
the HX35 is a 56 comp w/12 single gated housing. The superB is a 57 comp w/14 dual gated housing. so the superB can flow a LOT more through its exhaust side which is one of the reasons its a great top turbo for twins.

im gonna run a 63/68/.91 divided t4 flange over an ht60 which should make for a great combo also with dual external gates to dial it in
the more exhaust you can put to the secondary the better off you will be so use that super b it should make for a quick spooling set up
a buddy made 600hp with a hx35 over a ht60
good luck

You will want to run a spool valve on the rear port of the T4 or you wont start to spool til 2k.
