Stacks?

So work has been slow and i have alot of down time which has been spent reading diesel magazines, looking at performance parts for my truck, and watch youtube videos of trucks with stacks. I know they are loud but they just look so cool. I currently have a MBRP 5" system on my truck. I was looking at their 5" stack system with black 6" angle cut stacks. what do you guys think? also would I be able to run a muffler with this set up? looking at the pictures of the system i dont see one included. any input would be greatly appreciated thanks everyone

The muffler would have to be directly under the cab, due to length, or part of the stack it's self. I have the 5" MBRP as well and like it quiet a bit. I myself will never do stack for multiple reasons. The box of a truck is for hauling stuff around and stacks take up that room. The noise is excessive in the cab, and stack have a "hey cops, here I am factor". The less them law enforcing pricks look at me the better!

I dont haul much at all and I dont go out ripping around. The stacks just seem to be calling my name at the time haha its just a daily driver and my girl. and i plan on putting dynamat inside tha cab to quiet it down some too.

I had plenty of space for a muffler and am very happy to have one. If you choose the right one, the in-cab noise/resonance is perfect with windows up for quiet and down for fun.:rocking:

I got 5 in aussies on mine. i LOVE the way it sounds. No muffler just 4in off the turbo to the Aussies sounds pretty badass in my opinion:rocking:

We put a single 5" stack on two different trucks, love them both.

The short cab is louder inside than the extended cab, but I find myself opening the back window just so I can hear it talk to me.

I dont know what MBRP's prices are, but we picked up some 90's, flex pipe and exhaust tubing from Napa and did two trucks for less than 400 bucks.

x2 I've got that same setup and love mine, I just kinda wish I would've gone with 6" Aussies.

I want to put MBRP's 5 inch stack system in mostly cause i already have the muffler and like the tone. The only problem is i dont want to big of a stack. I like the look of 6 inch miter cuts, 8 inch is definatly way to big for my liking and idk about 7 it might be too big as well, and they dont make a 6 inch for the 5 inch piping....:argh:

i got 6inch aussie on mine i get alot of complements and im putting internal mufflers on mine this summer quiet it down a bit but stax will definitly turn heads also get the cops attention to keep that in mind but i would give up my stacks for anything
