Some Pictures Of My ADR w/ Pulse, K&N Intake, And AirDog 150 Install

Spent some money recently and finally now that everything is installed its picture worthy! I have nothing to say but good things about everything i purchased, well, for the price you should get 2 stickers from each company so you can put them evenly wherever (was planning on putting them in the side windows...

Stuff i picked up & some reviews;

AirDog 150 -

PROS: VERY nice quality. ALL parts needed to install are included. High quality parts. Very nice hose included that is even branded by AirDog. Simple instructions. My unit had a nice billet tank adapter.

CONS: The labels ON the unit are only on ONE side of the unit, if i mounded the pump on the inside of the frame rail they would be against the frame and you wouldnt be able to see the label. This could be bad because it has model info, CARB legal info and serial numbers. The instructions show a different tank adapter (pieced together fittings) rather then the billet unit that was included in kit. Although the billet one was nicer, it confused the sam-hell outta me for a bit when i was checking the parts list. There is only one sticker :( how can i put them on my 1/4 windows?

"Summit Brand" K&N Intake

PROS: Its 25$ cheaper then the K&N FIPK and has the EXACT same parts! Very nice quality k&n stamped intake tube. Nice heavy duty rubber connection tubes. k&n filter has hole in end cap of filter for the "filter flow/life gauge. Nice gasket material to surround the heat shield. The plastic tube REALLY amplifies the turbo!

CONS: Screws are JUNK! I swear they are different thread pitch then the nuts. They would NOT thread together and one BROKE cause it seized up! Clamps are also pretty crappy! They can not take too much torque at ALL!

Quadzilla Adrenaline w/ Pulse

PROS: DAMN, I had no idea that a tuner could make the truck THAT much faster. I had friends with gas trucks and tuners... A JOKE in comparison! Very nice quality parts. Very fair price for all the features it provides. Can display 8 different "gauges" 4 at a time. Large selection of "gauges" a TON for later model trucks. Up-datable software via website. Back down settings for various "gauges" EGT too hot, too much boost, trans temp to high and WAY more. Turbo timer via time or EGT. Way more features i haven't even worked with yet (custom tuning).

CONS: According to instructions you have to send your unit in for a fuel pressure gauge upgrade... Not sure if that's for ALL units or just older ones though, need to check with customer support. LCD screen gets slow when its cold (expected of an LCD though). Automatic trucks use temp probe for trans, manual trucks use it for engine oil temp, i would have like to have had both!

Now for the pictures...

This fitting does NOT come with the kit. It was on my truck from prior owner, its pre-tapped for a fitting i use for fuel pressure.

Here is a shot of the air/foam return from the AirDog, it plumbs into a tube you install by cutting the fuel filler hose. Sorry its blurry, its dark under there LOL!

Thanks guys, I should also point out that the reason the Tank to pump hose is black is because the prior owner had already run 1/2" lines through the whole truck using the Holley Black pump. I havent gotten a chance to drop the tank and install the draw straw. Its way, way to crappy outside here AND i dont have a garage! :argh:
It holds pressure PERFECTLY though even running MAX on ADR.

Usually the pumps are not mounted on the outside of the frame in case of an automobile accident

Definitely wont fit inside the frame though on my short wheel base truck... Not enough room between the tank and the transfer case with the pump and fittings.

Its right against the frame the body mounts would provide some protection because they are pretty close.

I had to do the same thing with my Airdog 150, not enough room on the inside of the frame rail.
