Time for a new box....

My Edge Pulse just gave up the ghost - the primary timing/fueling circuit still works, but the chip handling throttling adjustments is history. No power loss but smokes like a sled puller under acceleration.

An Edge Pulse, btw, is a beta version of the Edge Comp that's adjustable by pulling off the top and playing with jumper pins. The pins for throttling are dead on the tester. The unit was installed in 2001.

Back then, there were some good interrupter boxes, and some really, really bad ones - and nobody had cracked the ECM/PCM codes for actual reprogramming. (Actually, some guy in Italy named "Marco" claimed to have a solution, but you had to ship your unit off to him....;))

From my reading now, it looks like interrupter boxes are fairly consistent - meaning you can't go wrong with a unit from BD, or Edge, or Quad, etc. - and reprogramming offered by Smarty is fairly foolproof, if you're going that way. So making the choice is easier and "safer".

Do I have this right?

for all in one "interrupter" boxes(?) edge and quadzilla make people very happy. As for "reprogramming" you can't get better than a smarty. for all out craziness i have heard the smarty stacked with a ts is the way to go.

ive ran the smarty stacked with the edge juice with additude and power was awsome, ive also ran the TST comp and smarty and it was just as good as the edge if not better. in 3 days my quadzilla adr will be stacked with my smarty. and i will post up the results of all three! i hope the quadzilla lives up to it's reputation :c:
