Turning off torque management

I just found out that the reason my truck stutters under a boosted launch is my torque management. I was told that a smarty would be able to remove that. If I were to barrow one would I be able to turn it off permanently without changing anything else? If not is there any other way to do it without messing anything up?

The programming in the Smarty helps remove the TM. Once you set the truck back to stock it will turn the TM back on.

If I were to just set it and leave it, it would stay on until I changed something correct?

Downloaders like Smarty rewrite the entire powertrain and brake system portion of the ECU flash memory.

If I change TM will it effect any other systems? Is it a bad thing to use it?

Only time it is bad is on a stock transmission.

I would recommend a BD RAD. Much cheaper and it get's rid of all the TQ managment instead of some of it like the smarty. You do lose the use of some guages while it is on but they come back as soon as you turn the switch off.
