Twin Turbo Setup help for 98.5 dodge

Hey all,
I'm planning on doing a twin turbo setup soon on my cummins. I'm hoping to get around 600 hp to the wheels. I'm thinking a external wastegated HX35 and HT60 for turbos. Does anyone know where to get a piping kit for that combo or am i better off fabbing my own? Also at the same time I'm doing this, studs are going in and injectors (bought the bd injectors off ebay can't remember if they are 125s or what. I think they are next size down from 150s) with .093 connector tubes. On studs I haven't made up my mind between arp or a1 studs. I've been reading that the A1 studs are rated to 80psi of boost. Is that safe at that level without fire ringing it? Also wondering if I still can use stock intercooler or if I need to go aftermarket. I've built the truck up to support this kind of power level. It has a bd exhaust manifold, oregon fuel injection vp..+40hp, fass 150 lift pump, edge comp box, full set of gauges, built transmission, AFE Stage 2 cold air intake, hydraulic oil cooler of cat d8 dozer used as cooler for tranny, MBRP 5" exhaust-6"tip. Anything else I need to be doing? Also anybody have an idea on what kind of power levels I'm looking at? Thanks

forgot to ask, Am I hoping for too much with that kind of expected power level to be a daily driver? I use my pickup all the time (I own a well drilling company) and its not uncommon to hook on to a trailer over ten thousand pounds.

You will need more injector than that to get to 600hp. The stock intercooler will hold up but the head gasket will eventually let go. With the BD twins I had and Mach 5 injectors (200 hp) I made a consisntant 570-550hp. Save your $$ on conector tubes stockers will do just fine for you. You may want to look into an S300g/S471 setup. 600HP is at the very top of the comfort range for a set of Smaller twins but can be used easily. There are alot of ways to go on piping depending on budget. There are a few companies that offer complete piping kits or DIY kits to save money. If you are good at fab work you can order the bends need and do it all yourself.

Super B over a special would not work. Way too close to each other in size and drive pressures we be through the roof. A 75mm S400 would go perfect with that special you have. Or you could run a regular super B 57/14 over a 71mm S400.

okay. thanks for the info :tu:

Dear Hot Dog - After reading your signature 600 horses is more than you can physically handle. I think you should tone the truck down back to basics so it doesn't "get away" from you. All that hard work on the truck from the previous owner is for the naught. Cummins engines are designed for men that have experience in that power level. You could hire your Dad as your driver. Good luck!

that is a completely unnecesary comment. all the guy is doing is trying to get a little help on here. dont pick on him for asking questions we all do. comments like that are what make good websites like this turn hostile

Dear tltruckparts - the original poster of this thread is my very own son that I love very much. Just ribbing him and I'm here to support and help all bombers. We all are a team and just trying to lighten things up.:tu:

Hey mxtuner1,
If my memory serves me correctly I remember this "little" 24 valve when you had your hands on it. After I took it over is when it really came to life. And then you got the "manly" megacab and started hopping it up and guess what buddy. My pickup will still blow the doors off it. When your done compensating for something...:moon: with that megacab come over one of these nights we'll try to get my twin setup figured out.

Tlttruckparts...My dad's a little weird but he's as harmless as his compensating pickup. lmao

Oh man I'm talking crap to my dad on the internet..I need to get a life.
