Performance Package is coming!!!

Hello again everyone,
Well, last night I purchased a performance package, thanks to Tony at Mighty Diesel. He got me hooked up with a Smarty programmer, Air Dog 150, fuel pressure gauge, and 3 gauge pillar pod.

My question to anyone who has installed the Air Dog, what should I do to install this properly? I have an 02 2500 Ext cab short bed. I know it will come with instructions, but are there any tips or steps out there that I should be made aware of before installing? And how hard is it to install? Thank you for the info. :c:

well if your putting a draw straw in it youll have to drop the tank and if so make sure you almost have an empty tank so it will be lighter.

how much was the package?

I just installed one on my truck (same truck as yours) and it was pretty simple to do on mine I bought it used and the instructions that I had were printed from the net adn they showed mounting it inside the frame rail behind the tcase. There was not enough room so I mounted it on the outside of the frame about under the drivers door. And as for the draw straw I had to lift my bed up because I was doing it in my gravel drive way by myself and the tank was about half full. It wasnt too bad to do it that way either but all in all it took me about 2 1/2 hrs to do pretty easy install and made a big difference I am very happy with it. :jump:

Is the draw straw seperate than the air dog? Or does it come in the kit?

I believe so, it didn't come with my FASS system.

I found the instructions didn't have a good mounting location, and I modified the brackets to get the assembly higher up.

Draw straw kit.Works nicely I have one on both trucks. You dont need this everything will come in the kit,but with this you dont have to return the unused fuel in the filler neck it goes back in the basket.

Draw Straw I 1/2 in. draw tube and 1/2 in. pushlock fitting

Ah ok. You have to drop the tank for that?

Yes drop the tank, or pull the bed, your pick.

Be aware that the installation of the draw straw will limit how little fuel you can leave in your tank. Duning hard acceleration, braking, or turning, the fuel will slosh and not be availabe at the straw. The reason for this is the loss of fuel basket, nothing too keep the fuel at the suction straw. 1/4 tank is about as low as you want to go. If I drive hard, 3/8 of a tank will be too little.:dang:
