Air Dog fuel press jumping

I just got an Air dog 150 and has been on for 6 days and just now I pulled into the drive way and was letting the turbo cool down and my fuel press gauge was jumping from 14psi down to about 11 then it would come back up slowly to 14 and then drop again somtimes 1 or 2 psi or clear down to 10psi. It drops fast and then comes up slow just as soon as it gets back up to 14 it will drop. 14 psi is all that I have seen it at at idle and then wot would be around 12.5-13 psi. So I dont have any Idea what is going on why all of a sudden it would start jumping like that. Any Ideas on what might be happening with this pump I mean the press is still alot better than stock LP but still shouldnt be doing that and also I thought that they should for the most part hold steady at 15psi for the most part I have yet to see that much press out of it is there a valve or something inside that is jacked up or something any help or ideas would be greatly apprieciated.

Mine did the exact same thing. When it would start bouncing around I could hear a definite change in pitch in the pump itself. Took the system out from under the truck and started taking it apart a piece at a time and come to find out the little rubber ball was stuck in the spring that regulates pressure. Of the two fuel lines side by side it's the bigger fitting. Just unscrew it and check the ball and spring. Called AD and they sent me a new ball and spring free of charge :yeah: (always a good thing). The spring was a little smaller overall, but had more tension to it for a little better pressure. The original spring diameter was such that it let the ball wedge itself inside of it therefore not allowing the system to hold constant pressure.

Hope this helps you out.

My FASS gives me similar symptoms, perhaps it has the same issue.:humm:

It's a father/son love/hate relationship. The dad started AirDog and he and his son had a falling out so the son went out and started FASS. Almost identical systems. More than likely you do have the same problem as stated above. Give it a try...hopefully it will solve your issue as well.
