The height of the needle above the nozzle body is the only thing that will change the opening pressure, and the height of the needle above the stroke-limiting collar controls the amount of vertical movement.

Well if I worded it like that im pretty sure people wont know what im talking about...

Also I was trying to explain how theres a change in how a used nozzles differs in measurements compared to new nozzles

Overall needle length varies, even in the same nozzle type. It is not important to the overall scope of things. Now if you start grinding the top side of the needle where it contacts the compression pin, or the top of the nozzle to increase opening pressure, you have just reduced the vertical movement allowed.

you might also think about taking pics on something white so the tips will stick out more or maybe use a lil better lighting to show the wear rings better.

In the pic description you might say which one is the new and which one is the used injector. Some people might not know from just the look of it.

But can't you just agree that the injectors pop-pressure WILL change when the used nozzles are replaced with new ones? That was the whole reason for doing this...

nice writeup. My thoughts, If your going to send the injector off to be pop tested, Why bother changing the nozzles yourself? Barring the slim chance that your pop off pressures did not change, they will have to remove the nozzle anyways.

Unless of course you can pop test them and shim them yourself.
