Default INJECTOR Questions

Ok guys/gals, on my 2000 cummins, 47 RE stock...going to get a FASS 150/95 then Quadzilla Adrenaline...my question is what injectors would be the best, I've researched the 60 to 75 HP injectors they seem to be the best fit. I would like to roll coal and have plenty of towing power. Whats the best injector HP rating for this combination???

Welcome Dan.
That stock 47re will not hold the power to the ground with an Adrenaline AND injectors. Adrenaline alone will cause the torque converter to slip, so your best bet would be to upgrade the tranny first, and then bring on the power mods.

Yeah, I was looking at a Goerend TC and valve body or a Banks Billet TC and valve body

Your best bet is the injectors your looking at. Any more power than that and your going to get hot while towing. Goerend is a good choice. How many miles are on the trans? while your that far you might as well go through it. You pretty much pull the trans to get the converter out.

I have recently installed 50-50HP injectors, and am running the Edge Juice w/Attitude. My trans is about 65,000 kms since rebuild which included a triple disc TC, all seems to be holding up. Although the slick roads in the winter don't really let me lay the power down, but it sure is fun still!

if you have never done the trans you better or it will leave you with some trouble when you add the power

My setup is close to what you're planning without the injectors. I get plenty of gitty-up and stock trans is still holding at 134,000 though I can get it to shudder on #10. More power is never enough but truck is no slouch. Tire size has played a big part in acceleration and stepping down to 285 A/T's from 315 M/T's has helped driving fun, 265's are even better but truck looks stupid with suspension. Trans upgrades are a must(next on my list) and EGT's hit 1200 easy with stock injectors. I plan on studs, injectors and turbo upgrade(maybe poor man twins?)in one final rush to the finish. I know the finish line is just a mirage and the next set of upgrades will have me itching.
