I just tapped in right behind the light switch. I took off the Inst cluster bezel and pulled the switch out and with a voltmeter found the wire that dimmed with the rheostat and tapped into that wire cant remember which color the wire was but that was the easiest to get to and know which wire was the right one.

Thats the same thing i did as well. Not hard to do :rocking:

i tapped mine in the fuse box, just got to make sure it's the correct side of the fuse.i wire'd in a relay for it and that wire is the trigger.i'm not able to make mine dim, like using the headlight switch though.

Heres mine: the first pic shows the Add a Circuit I used to power the pyrometer and trans temp guage, and the second shows the fuse tap that Im using to power the lighting for the guages: Attachment 49728 Attachment 49729 |
i'm on the 5a illumination fuse.it might be because it is used to trigger a relay that i wired for the light's.i daisy chained all the bulbs for the gauge's off the one relay.
three of my gauge's are in a dash pod, which put's them furthur away from me.i almost want to make them brighter i used the add a circuit's also |
