im sorry, i do not think that is sweet. i think its :edit: stupid. maybe its just me, i dont mind smoke, but riding the brakes is retarded just to see how much u can put out. im a firm believe there is a time and place. if he was trying to spool a big charger, it would be cool.

nbaca 11-12-2009 01:29 PM

CumminsPower, why are you so entertained by smoke. yeah its cool but then it just gets you in trouble and gets a bad rep for all of us diesel guys. there is a time and place for it. it like people around here that smoke me out cause they think they are fast. i get beside them and just walk them. build for power not smoke

blkjack 11-12-2009 06:06 PM

2x that time and a place mo powa first gives everyone else a bad rep i dont like all that smoke, The first semi that i started driving had some issues and smoked quite a bit till we got it fixed and it was embarassing pulling out from a light or stop cool to spool up at a race but not just every where JMHO :c:

stkdram55 11-12-2009 06:28 PM

I agree with blkjack and biged on this one too, however the first 2 videos posted i dont have such a problem with because they are out away from anybody...that bhaner video is stupid..."Wow if i turn my smarty up on 9 and lug it out i bet you i can black out an entire street huh huh":argh:

And that second video i know for a fact is a smidgen under 600 HP and runs fairly decent in the quarter mile...

cummins24 11-12-2009 07:31 PM

yeah, there's not really any need for that.

CumminsPowerOrNoPower 11-12-2009 08:02 PM

i'm not saying that every time and every place calls for smoke because smoke does have a time and place. It's just intense to see what some people are capable of. i'm not going to lie, the bhaner video, i'm sure he was just like, "hey, lets go see how much of a jackass i can be." I know it give the good guys a bad rep too. One of my buddies decided he was going to be a jackass and go smoke people out. the short of the story is he smoked out the wrong Honda Civic and the guy got out of his little car and put a fist sized dent in the door of his powerstroke. granted he was driving a powerstroke, so there has to be something wrong with him any way, but i do understand what all you guys are saying.

I think everyone into diesels deep down loves smoke but just like 4wheelin and anything else, when you become more of an enthusiast in the sport you start to understand the consequences of doing stupid things. I admit I have a smoke switch, I used it at school for an engine performance class to get extra credit. We were talking about engine sensors and how they can be fooled. As soon as it gets nice out in my area its coming out. Smoke is cool if your on some back road alone dumping fuel and tuning your truck but in todays world there is too many people trying to stop our sport and many others. As diesel enthusists and junkies we can show off our trucks that weight more than any "sports car" that we can be fast while still having good MPG, can last over a million miles and can tow an airplane. The videos were cool but there just people trying to show off "power" they dont have. We all know "power adders" for these trucks costs alot but with time and the money you save from not getting tickets can make anyones truck fast and clean. Thats just my 2cents:w2:

chef diablo 11-13-2009 01:32 PM

there is a time and a place for everything....... but do not screw the image up! because what if the man starts putting regulations on our trucks? we get away with alot of stuff that gassers dont!

CumminsPowerOrNoPower 11-13-2009 07:32 PM

exactly

then why are you always asking how to make more smoke if you understand that concept? I think i can count at least 2 or 3 threads recently where youve asked how to get more smoke? Not trying to call you out but youre starting to really confuse me which is it you want, power (and maybe some smoke with it, lol) or just dumb smoke and nothing to back it up?

RAW 11-21-2009 01:12 PM

:humm: I wonder how HOT the oil in the TQ got. Bet it was damn near boiling. Idiots.

Dieselhead Jake 11-21-2009 01:23 PM

This thread is stupid....just another reason for the EPA to put more regulations on our trucks. Thanks for puttin up great videos.....not. :td:

RAW 11-21-2009 01:25 PM

I agree.

Captain Call 11-21-2009 01:35 PM

Some good entertainment in the comments on those videos. As for the videos...if you're a mouth breathing knuckle dragging window licker who eats old paint chips then I guess they're cool.

ja-mudder 11-24-2009 08:21 PM

the "little cummins smoke" vidio is cool cause you can hear a good sized turbo spool'n up and hes not out being a D***
Like another post said deep down we all love the smoke its good stuff and ya iv blacked out some a$$ holes car because's hes trying to pick up my wife. But the same thing comes up every time there is a time and I do agree:c:

CumminsPowerOrNoPower 11-24-2009 08:34 PM

i'm after horsepower. i'm addicted to horsepower. i like the smoke too, but i want the power to back it up.
