the pump, the pump gear, timing case, new lines or bend yours. just to get it goin. need injectors adjusted and set up for a p-pump but theres alot driving them that havent done that. :U:

what are your plans for your truck...by doing this your gonna lose your cruise control, there are some guys out there that have rigged up there TPS to work still and have cruise but if this is a tow rig or do alot of driving and like using the cruise.

Other then that there really is no negatives, you'll need to run a bigger injectors cause the injector return line in the 24v heads is smaller then the 12v and i've heard of a few that have problems with blowing injections lines:pca1:

If your a completely a hands on guy that does all your own work on your truck and you have money burnin a hole in your pocket then the P-Pump is worth further consideration. If your not sure about installing it yourself and have to pay to have the work done then if past history has shown us anything it's gonna turn your truck into a money pit.

Just how much horse power do want to make that a VP won't supply it. There's well over 800hp trucks out there runnin VP's and probably hittin the 1000 mark by now I'm sure. You buy a good VP from Blue Chip Diesel, Chip is probably one of the most knowledgeable guys on the planet when it comes to VP's and he is glad to work personally with customers both before and after the sale. Then you move to either the MITUSA Belt driven lift pump or the Air Dog Electric Lift pump, both being used by drag racers and over the road haulers alike and you have setup that will last and provide all the power you could ever use and keep the truck easy to work on.

The advantage of having of having a 24V truck is the adjustable power to control heat and smoke. Once you do the P-Pump you lose that ability. Why not just sell what you have and buy a 12V if that's what you want. Cheaper, easier to work on and don't have to completely rebuild what's already a good truck.

Now on the other hand, if I was buildin a project truck from the ground up as a toy and not a daily driver then I think even I would look at this project.

well, i have been seeing and hearing about this and was thanking about trying it when mine went bad, but it seems like for just a daly driver (stop light rice killer) i will stick with the vp44

If you were building a Puller hands down I would convert it to a P-Pump.

You should be able to put a kit together by piecing it together by yourself for alot cheaper...

Keep it on the down low but im starting to look for the pieces:w2:

with the p pump you will get a lot better fuel mileage! and you can tune the p pump a lot of different ways! and the p pump will last forever!
