turbo and intercooler upgrade?

I am looking to upgrade my turbo and intercooler on my 01 next. Next month I am purchasing a Airdog II and the rest of my upgrades are in my signature. I am in the military and married so it takes a while to save for my truck (being in California doesn't help either). I am looking for 450-500 hp when I am done with my truck. Best guess I am in the low to mid 300s right now and I know that I will need more upgrade to reach my goal but this is the next item on the list. I do pull a 40' gooseneck horse trailer (10,000 to 15,000 lbs) and a 25' tandem dual flatbed gooseneck (5,000 to 18,000) once or twice a month. It is also my daily driver. What size turbo and what brands would you suggest? Also same question on an intercooler (brand and size)? Twins are not out of the question it will just take that much longer for me to save up to purchase them.

I would say not to spend money on the intercooler yet. With a 62/71/14 and ddp 110's I made 488 959. The turbo is also going to now be the top charger on a compound setup. So you can get a turbo and some bigger sticks then later add a bottom turbo. I would get a smaller exhaust housing for towing though mine was kind of smoky when cruising at times. But towed just fine no egt issues.

I would upgrade a few more things before I spent the money on an intercooler. I would look at a Phat Shaft 62/65/12 or a Super Phat Shaft 62/71/12. Give me a call sometime and we can dicuss your options.
