Need more power!

I been gettin spanked by a few Fords around town and desperately need more power. I been thinking o-ringed head and a helix 1 cam but not sure of which turbo(s) and bigger injectors to get. I want big power and wont be towing anyting. Just be the fastest in town. Any help?

Put a tuner on that dude, then go for injectors and then a turbo maybe.
If all else fails, trade it in on a Ford!
If ya can't beat em...

definatley get a programmer of some sorts.

Diablo makes a nice programmer for $300 that make very nice power for the money.
Im sure those fords arent stock like you

He has a Drag Comp and a Fass with 110hp sticks. Thats a pretty powerful truck.

Sounds like you need to think about a turbo and maybe a Smarty to help bring the bottom end in more. No towing means we have room to be crazy with the turbo. 6 speed makes it kinda hard, but doable. Oring and stud the head, or just stud it for now until you have to oring it. Cam is not a bad idea at all, PDR has a pretty nice grind, as does the F-1. You would be looking at a Helix 2 for your application. That wil help spoolup and EGTs.

For a turbo, you should be looking at maybe the SuperStock 62/14 from HTT or maybe the Super B special from BD. The Silver 62 from Industrial is nice as well, but spendy. Either of these should give you enough air and decent spool up. You could jump to a 64 if you are willing to sacrifice some spool up, but with a 6 speed you need it to spool so you can get the power to the ground and grab another gear.

I would look at these options before looking at bigger sticks. Try and burn what you are putting in before adding more. I know you are getting hot right now.

Also - Welcome to the group!

Thanks Diesel nut for noticing the mods. I wasnt sure if i was the only one who could see them. I will get the cam and o ring and studs for sure. And I got the money for twins, just not sure which ones to get. And F-1 stage 6 has grabbed my attention. Which would be a better setup a big single or a set of twins? And which twins? Also a south bend all at the same time will be going in. My diesel shop loves me:up:
