Air Dog/ FASS when to change filters?

I was just curious how often the filters on these units need to be changed? Also, can they be bought at a big truck parts store like Fleet Pride or are they specific filters that need to be ordered from the manufacturer of the product?

I change mine about every 20K. At $10/filter I will probably start changing them every 10K. The Airdog FF100 is the same as the Fleet Guard FF5617 which is a 7 micron filter. You can also use the Fleet Guard FF5613 which is a 3 micron filter but you'll change them more often. As far as the FASS you can probably cross reference the numbers to Baldwin or Fleet Guard.

I change mine about ever 9k or so, but Fass recommends 25k I think, as far as the water seperator, Never just keep the water drained, take it off and wash it out with gas about every 50k! unless their is a pressure problem

When I called Air Dog they said that the fuel filter will be good for 1 year and the water seperator just needs to be remove and tapped or shook and reinstalled. ED

You have to be careful when buying - if you get a FASS 95 - I believe you have to get the filters from them. If you get a FASS 150 you can cross reference filters.

I change my Fass filters every 10,000 miles.
