Need a tranny
My tranny is done for and im looking for a new one. I allways planned to go with ats but now ive heard nothing but bad things. Most of the trannys seem to be in the same price so i want to hear from you guys what you have and how you like it. Ats? Suncoast? Goerend? DTT? BD? NADP? Monster transmissions have a HD tranny for have the price but money is kinda tight so that might be an option. I also have a local diesel shop. so what do you think?

If your going to get a completely new tranny go with suncoast. I'm running one of their Allison 6spd transmissions in my 12 vavle and I haven't had a single problem since doing the conversion. But stay away from ATS, I originally went with a their 47RE and it had to be completely rebuilt when it arrived at my diesel shop

Some of the components reused were clearly shot when they went back in. The clearances were way out of whack. tight on some and incredibly loose on others. And the customer was told he was getting upgraded clutches in some areas where it is all stock.

You can call level 10 in new jersey and they will do a custom job there even make the parts right there. You can pick what you want to fit your budget. Just look them up online give them a call, if you like the price just ship it to them or drive if you can. They did all mine trucks.

Level 10. That's a good one. I haven't heard their name since they were peddling junk 200-R4s.
I have a buddy that did not want to pay for a build. So he bought all the parts, knew how to build a trans. Gonna have to be built for real after his 3rd attempt on his own.
There's more to building a good transmission system versus a shift kit and new clutches.
