Default Torque managment wire?

I've seen in a few posts on diferent boards that there is a wire you can cut to get rid of the Tq managment. I have an extra switch to runt through it and I'm headed to the track tonight. Can someone please help me so I can run decent tonight

BD Power - Product: Top Speed Eliminator
that will give you what wires they use.

"And the 2 wires the RAD uses are:
VSS which is (white w/orange tracer) and is Pin #11 in connector number 2.
CCD Bus which is (White w/black tracer) and is pin #5 in connector number 1.
This is the one that I think does the torque management. The VSS is for the top speed eliminator feature.

I tapped into the wires on the firewall, right at the main connectors, above the valve cover.
Hope this helps.
Sean "

this was a copy paste job from my old thread

Is this something that' s just for automatics or would a 6spd benefit from it too?

I think the problem is I need sponsors. But you need to go faster to get sponsors and you need sponsors to go faster

so what did you run? Did you ever upgrade your turbos? Or just get a bigger bottom for what you have now?

I only ran a 13.02 tonight. The funny thing was my trap speed @108. The trans am I raced was ahead of me by a length at the 1/8th mile and I beat him by half a second at the 1/4. With a good 60' I could have been mid to low 12's tonight but the 2.3 60's are killing me. I still ahve the BD's for now but the primary will be growing soon hopefully.

were you not able to get rid of the torque management? Thats what my 60's were before I was able to remove it. You should be able to get into the low 12's if not the 11's

Here is the answer I got on another forum

I have cut the wires and it works. Against the firewall, above and to the right of the valve cover are two connectors. One has a white connection lever, the other a black connection lever. The black harness has the torque management wire (white with black tracer), the white harness has the speed eliminator (white with orange tracer). I cut the white with black trcer wire and then started truck. It started and ran fine only the tach and speedo did not work. I verified by doing a few launches in my driveway. I then tied into a toggle on my dash and have torque mangement off or on. After I purchased the smarty and loaded it, the torque management is the same as if the switch is off. So, yes smarty does remove torque mangement. I will probably remove the toggle and wire back in the way it was from the factory. I talked with Dave from here. He goes by fishin2deep4u. He was a huge help. I am sure he will chime in sooner or later. I believe the mod will work on 2000 through 2002 trucks with autos. It should work on some 2003 and 2004 trucks also. If it does't, just solder the wires back together, no loss, no foul.
