Default What's Next ? (performance questions)

So i've got almost all the info on my truck.

And i just fixed my fuel pressure gauge to find out i'm running about 19 PSI idle and 12ish WOT. And i finally had the nerve to look up while WOT and take a gander at my EGT's which was 1150' or so,

Have Air filter, S300 turbo, 4" " Straight " exhaust. and full gauges BD boost fooler, and a Fass 95(or 150) fuel pump

I think my fix on the fuel pressure gauge made it run quite a bit better, i think it's not sucking any air into the line when it's haulin butt. it seems to pull a little better. But the mind is a powerful thing.

So where's my next mod ? Injectors ? Programmer ? Water/Meth ?

I don't do any thing but tow a 2500 LBS boat, and drive to work every day,

Seems to be a frequent question from me, but i just don't want to waste my money on something i won't be happy with !

You need a Performance Box or Programmer.

Injectors or fueling box. I'd go for both Then you will have to look at tranny upgrades

I was thinkin fuel box too,

I think the previous owner did a bunch of trans work to it, it's got firm shifts when your on it or towing, but nice and smooth around town, + a mag-hytec 40 million quart pan

I don't know how to tell sizes, only thing i know is " S300g7 " or S7, sound abut right ?? i'll look into it after it's cooled down a little more.

I want to go with smarty over an edge, but i don't know, i can get them both for abut 650'.

But i need something that will have decent manners, i love the fact that smarty has " half power " and " Fuel saver " and the high idle feature

I'm lost, if only some one had one of them used.... WTB section here i come !

Ohh and !! What are ya'lls opinion on the BD steering brace for the 01's ? Mine drives pretty nice as is, would it really make that much of a difference ?

the edge juice with attitude is adjustable as well and its on the fly, smarty would be good as well, tst powermax 3 wouldnt be a bad choice either and its a little cheaper. actually if thats something your interested in, let me know, i may be able to get you a used one.

I haven't heard much on the TST stuff, But i like the on the fly adjust mode.

How does it it hook up ?

That's what i like about the smarty the most, easy to remove, and make the truck back to stock with no trace,

Smarty only adds around 60hp to VP44 trucks. If you get a Smarty make sure you pay MAP price or you will not have a warranty. With New Ball Joints, lukeslink on the trac bar and the steering stabalizer my truck has tight steering.

Why does it hint at the 150 HP and 300 Ft. Lbs of torque on smartys website ?

I want something that will help mileage when i need it to, and rip the doors off the car next to me when i have to,
