Opinions on Upgrades Part 2
ok fellas, ordering the Airdog 150, tomorrow. (thanks Luke) what should my next upgrade be?
new exhaust manifold 13cm s.s. exhaust housing for my HT2B? or what? i know this is part 2 but im really getting psyched about bombing this baby.. |
Hows your EGT's with your current setup?
Luke, i can hit just a tick over 1300 (probe mounted on manifold pre turbo) however I have not hooked up my adrenaline yet. should be getting it in the mail tomorrow.
maybe some bigger sticks??? i think some 150's would be good with a 62...might get hot though with the 12...i max out at 1600*+ right now...:U:
yeah you may not have enough fuel for that turbo. I have the 14 on mine and really don't have any issues with lag
Some bigger injectors, o rings, studs, and a marine gasket.
I'd see how she runs with the Adrenaline. A good Exhaust Manifold will definantly help.
If it were me, I would define what I really wanted to do with the truck first.
Then I would leave that turbo alone, add some 200+ HP sticks, Adrenaline or Juice, studs, o-rings, marine gasket and the right cam, a bottom turbo to compliment the one you have, clean up the head ports (not full porting) and few other misc items. Honestly, we only recommend exhaust manifolds when the stocker is cracked or a guy wants to go to another when installing our twins. Same thing with CAC. Last in the line of investments. Get the fueling figured out and build in the air to keep it cool while providing the driveability to match up with it. Simple as pie. Dave |
I would only add those sticks if you were going to add a bottom turbo.
There's more than one guy daily them on a single. But for usable towing power, yes, it's hard to beat twins.
