I really hope these pumps work out. It's between one of these new mega VP's and a Ppump at this point.

alright none of the nozzles looked cracked or damaged, I did find that one of the boots had a small cut in it (about 1/2").

I dont think it is the pump, I put the SO pump back on and it runs like crap.

It never stops smoking, and sounds like it is missing real bad, in the smoke there is black flakes, any ideas?

i would guess inj but you said ya checked them. the black flakes are likely loose soot being dislodged from the vibration from the miss.whats yer lift pump doin

The keyway on the the pump gear was messed up from who ever put the SO pump on, the key on pump was smashed on one side. I did not even think to check the gear when I pulled the SO pump, I just wipe them clean and put the dragon on.

I got a new key and gear and started it yesterday, drove it some more today and it seems like it is fine. The rattle is gone and running strong:rocking:

Good to hear man. Did you have dyno #'s from before so you can compare?

Wow, thats pretty impressive. Glad to hear you got that little bug figured out. What do you think it'll run with electronics?

Mid 11's would be pretty bad ass on a single charger. I know that some trucks have done it on fuel with twins. Man, just imagine the potential with some big twins on there. There may be one of these in my future if reliability proves to be good.
