it has been done, if you can weld and fabricate, you can easily do it. for the second turbo, use an H3TB series turbo, this combo is said to support 450-600 hp depending on settings and tune. you can find a H3TB off of bigger cummins motors found in box trucks, light dump trucks and even some N14 series motors. or go to a big rig shop, they can hook you up with one.:U:

there is a company that makes kits to incorporate your stock turbo over an HT3b. I'm not sure if I can say the company's name but it starts with S and ends with ource Automotive. :w2: Cheers.

With your stock turbo up top, you will have several limiting factors holding you to around 500hp, unless you want to upgrade your top turbo to incorporate a 60mm compressor wheel. If you are fine with the 450 to 500hp range, there are a lot of options out there, including the ht3b. Also in that range you can get away with running an s400, k31, hx55 or h2e the h2e is similar in size to an hx50/55 but an older design, however it has more aftermarket support because of the ford boys.

A lot of guys will tell you that the hx55 or h2e is too small because they are only a 2.5" charger (the h2e can be upgraded to a 2.8" though). I'm going to say that if set up right, its not too small. I run one in mine and am right in that 450-500 range, and it runs great. I can barely get it to break 1250* with the box turned all the way up, and have no issues passing on hills with a trailer (5-7K so relatively light) with the box cranked up. Also, it spools fast enough to drive around with the box off and not seem like a total dog, and the truck won't break 900*. truck still gets 21.5mpg cruising on the freeway, and I Beat audi's and Beamers while towing. All I'm saying, is for a street vehicle, don't rule out the larger HX series turbos. However, you may not want to run a 200hp injector, especially if its not a really clean burning properly set up injector, I'm not too familiar with the fireball series and whats done to them.

Also, with your stock charger up top, you will want to externally gate it, probably with a 40-44mm gate if you go with sticks that big.

Yeah, definitely will need an external gate to get any power out of it. And you really should run a 16cm housing as well as the 12cm and 14cm just choke so early.

I would skip the 3B and use a S400. Easier to plumb and very reliable.

For gate size on top I am leaning towards a 48mm if you run a locked internal gate.
