air dog install
 

Quick question on the install of my air dog 150 gph set up.

I bypassed the stock fuel filter and went right to the pump, I am running and edge with attitude and now am without a fuel pressure port.

I hooked the fuel pressure sender into the air dog filter manifold where the idiot light is supposed to go. It got to dark out to finish up but before I cut the 3 wires on the edge fuel pressure sendor to lenghten to reach my new location I wanted to see if this will work?

Also what to do with the stock filter housing? fill it with diesel and plug up the holes?

I left all the connections to the stock lift pump in the tank...I figured the electrical connections to the fuel gauge are configured with the fuel pump power? is that right?

Also....The boost on the edge has never worked...it says 0 psig....where do you suggest looking for the problem?

It should work to read the Fuel Pressure, the stock filter housing you can take off the side of the block and just keep it in a safe place in case you ever need it again. And the no boost thing:humm: check you map sensor connection make sure its tight and hooked up right

You are good for your fuel reading right there...just lengthen the leads! Just remove the stock fuel canister from it's place and store it in the garage!

As for the boost reading....disconnect your map plugs clean everthing and add dielectric grease and re-connect and make sure everything is snapped on and tight!

alright...thanks for the help....so far I have about 17 psi and it never drops to below 15 psi...

I have not messed with the map yet but plan on it tomorrow...

I think either the level 6 on the edge is a pos or somethings wrong with my truck? I run 0-60 in 7.9 sec on level 5 and ....10 sec on level 6 maybe I dont have enough mods to make level 6 work?

I removed the fuel filter and sold it on ebay. when I put made an aluminum spacer for the bolts I removed from the thick flange of the intake because it was leaking under boost. You will have access to stuff on the enigne now I removed the old fuel pump as well Ed
