Default what do you guys think?

So i am going to do a twins setup the hx35/ht3b. I am going to do some 150 nozzles, drag comp, water injection, and head studs. I was wondering if this setup will spool good and what psi should i see? Will this still be a good daily driver? What dyno number should be like? And if anyone else has any suggestion for me. Thanks Rich

id also stack it with a smarty, the smarty will help you spool up faster and have killer bottom end, the comp will help on the top end. with twins and water meth, id go even bigger then 150 sticks though, id go at least 200s. with that you should see 700+ on the dyno. as for daily driving, shouldnt be too bad, im running 150s on the stock turbo now and im still getting just under 20 mpg average 50/50 city driving., i know you have 5 sp, so upgrade that input shaft and clutch to an 1in and 3/8s shaft and at least the 3850 dual disc or equiliavlent, to handle that power itll have to be a dual disc. boost should hit anywhere 60- 100 lbs at max boost

you wont see 700+ with the hx35 on top with a s300 i could see it but i higly doubta hx35 will support that and it it does it will be a ticking time bomb. but i have been wrong before. but 550 to 600 can be had with that combo (it will be a lil hot....) as far as the clutch that is a very solid unit, or a equal performance valair ive had both and destroyed both haha and as far as that combo goes you really dont want to see over 70 psi before you have drive pressure issues and possibly turbos going boom. and as far as the sticks it depends on what you want to do with the truck if you want it to be a primarily towing truck then stick with the 150s if you want a racecar truck then go with the 200's
this is all my opinion and have fun

I agree your not going to get 700hp out of that setup its just not going to happen. Stay with 150's for daily driver. Also make sure you got a good fuel system to support that much fuel.

With a set of twins the 200's will daily drive nicely.

It depends on what housing is on the HX35 and if you externally gate it.

The turbine section is way too inefficient to make really big power with the internal gate. A non wastegated 16cm housing with a 40ish mm gate will allow you to make mid 600's. Spool will suffer! With a 50+mm gate, guys have made up to 700.

With a 14cm housing and an enlarged internal gate, 550 is about the max. Temps won't ever be an issue, but drive pressure will kill HP on the dyno. You will get conflicting track numbers though. Don't ask how I know.

It'll drive fine with anything over a 100Hp injector, but you won't get the benefit of a 200HP injector with that setup. A 125 made the same power as 150's, 200's, 240's and 250's in my truck. All at a different curve.

So not use the Smarty unless you enjoy choking the top turbo and making spool slower than a comp type box alone. The Smarty works fine under light throttle, but mat it from a light and you'll wish you stayed stock.

The S300 variants often provide an easier path to performance. But it's all in the way you build it.

You may also want to consider an S400 for the bottom charger.

I agree with these guys, the hx35 is going to be the limiting factor in anything over about 550hp. As far as spool up goes. I just wouldn't run the small housing, on the 3b, get yourself a 26cm and you should be just fine. The small housing will cause too much restriction and decrease the velocity of the exhaust across the turbine in your top charger causing it to spool a lot slower.

In short, the 35/3b route is a good way to make budget twins, that perform well, up to about 550hp. Start tweaking somethings, 35/40hybrid and an external gate, and you could push it into the 650-700 range.

It has its draw backs dude, don't sweat it. My truck has seen a lot of down time, and luckily I don't rely on it for work or anything like that, or else I'd never be able to get away with doing that. Being able to build stuff yourself and play with other peoples trucks has its benefits too.

I have the wrong priority i need a clutch but i probably put the twins on there first then fry the clutch but on the bright side i will have twins and i am still young and live at home.

I know that is a bad way to look at things but i will do a clutch soon after. When the trans is out i am going to do brass snyros.
