Fass DDRP

Does anyone know much about these? It seems to be similar to the Raptor. Direct Dodge replacement pump, does that mean its in-tank or does it go in the original location of the factory lift pump by the block?

Alli_Gator 11-30-2008 01:02 PM

They mount in the original location as a factory pump on the fuel filter housing. http://www.alligatorperformance.com/...oducts_id=3213

40gph Flow

cummins24 11-30-2008 08:39 PM

Would that be sufficient for an Adrenaline?

Mr.Krabs 11-30-2008 11:03 PM

Should,as long as it works more reliably than the stock carter POS did.

01quadcab 11-30-2008 11:32 PM

I would go with bigger than that like the fass without filters or raptor

X2, I feel this would be good for a truck with an EZ or a 65hp Quadzilla, but for anything that is going to make bigger power, pay the $100 more and get a Raptor.

cummins24 12-01-2008 01:58 AM

So pretty much the difference between this and a raptor, other than price, is the flow rate right?

01quadcab 12-01-2008 02:00 AM

yeah. better lines helps too.

Well the install of the Raptor is more entailed, it is not a direct replacement like the DDRP is.

cummins24 12-01-2008 05:16 PM

Yeah, the Raptor mounts on the frame right?

Alli_Gator 12-01-2008 05:23 PM

yes sir.

SeaDrive 12-01-2008 06:12 PM

Don't waste time and money, as these guys have said, go straight for the Raptor. I tried all kinds of junk until I finally put on a Raptor and I haven't looked back yet. I did finally stop watching my fuel pressure gauge dance too much though! Do it once and be done with it!

The problem I see with the FASS DDRP pump is it located in stock positon. To far from the fuel tank (sucking fuel again like stock).

By looking at the pic it got the stock banjo bolt holes (metric).

I would aim for a Raptor and move by the tank...:humm:

i agree, maybe itll work okay on a completely stock truck but if you are running the adrenaline or any big chip or injectors, go with the raptor or the fass stand alone pumps.

nosparkCummins 12-04-2008 06:38 PM

How hard is it to install those Raptors? Are those pretty much a FASS or an AirDog without the filters?

stkdram55 12-04-2008 06:43 PM

well im pretty sure you can a raptor with filters, but you can get one without the filter, there not hard to install at all take your old pump off install the new one i would recomend getting a draw straw cause the fittings on your sending unit are a pain in the ass to reuse and the draw straw makes it easier to install it, you will have to drop your tank but thats simple

stkdram55 12-04-2008 07:02 PM

dukeboy_318 12-04-2008 07:27 PM

i too have the fass without filters, works very good, i second the draw straw kit:U:

nosparkCummins 12-04-2008 08:19 PM

is this what you guys run?

HPFP Fuel System 98.5-04 Dodge

Diesel Dawgs Performance 12-04-2008 08:43 PM

Thats is an Adjustable FASS Pump without Filters. It really all depends on how much money you want to spend.

Yeah thats the one i got minus the adjustable part:U:

dukeboy_318 12-07-2008 11:07 AM

yep, thats what im running, minus the adjustable part, FASS just came out with the adjustable one, if you get it, tell the dealer preset it to 18 psi MAX and then adjust from there once you get it on your truck so that it stays between 14-18 at WOT:U:

Hi, I just joined, looking for info. on the DDRP. I have the Vulcan big line kit, and the carter is crapping out on me down the rail. Wanted to know if this would be a suitable pump with my mods, I just heard about the raptor and am now regretting ordering the DDRP

01quadcab 01-02-2009 03:41 PM

did you relocate the carter? if so I think the ddrp will go right where your carter is and should work, or just send it back and get the raptor or fass pump no filters.. but for the price diff I would just get filters and be better protected

Vols Fan 01-02-2009 03:45 PM

yeah, the carter is relocated. If i got the bigger FASS, I am assuming I should go with the 95 as I already have the big line kit. Does it have a lifetime warranty on it too? that is one thing i saw on the raptor, and it wasnt much more than the DDRP
