ok looking for the best size sticks to run in my truck. I do a lot of towing from the 30' gn horse trailer to the 16' enclosed trailer for hauling cabinets. the gn is 7k dry and usually has 2 mares and full tack so about 10k regularly in it and the enclosed is 3500 dry and about 7k full of tools and cabinets. I have a bw s300 that I am putting on the truck once it gets here and the rest of the mods are in my sig. Just would like to know what would be too big I have a set of stock injectors that I can put nozzles in just don't want it to get too hot.. the trans is good

275's are real good and also better for milage that the stockers.........I think they add 40 horse

anything past that and you will need more air so keep that in mind ( I see ya got a S300 commin)

I'd vote 100 horse injectors myself. They are very drivable and you will never notice they are there unless you romp on it. Hottest temps with my HX were around 1000*. They might run a little hotter with your HY but once you get the 300 it shouldn't matter.

They will smoke if you want them too but its pretty easy to drive them without. Mileage hasn't changed a bit. But thats mostly because I use the added power. Don't get me wrong the RV's are nice and cheap but they are only 50 horse on a SO and 35 on an HO. If you buy tips the 100s aren't that bad money wise either.

thanks thats what I am looking for the biggest sticks that will tow and not melt it down. I think I have a version of the rv275's now but want more than that. But also don't want something thats going to be troublesome when towing.

I wouldnt run anything over 100hp.

I agree with Wit,I've got just the stock HX35 on my truck,and comming across Colorado in the mountains my EGT's would get up around 1300(would have been able to melt it down)and all I've got are 275s and 4" straight pipe.
That was pulling a 10k shower trailer.

I don't know what a s300 is,guessing that's a bigger turbo,if it's much better then you should be able to get away with more power,but I don't know how much more...

s300 is what the super b is based off. I got one with way too big of and exhaust housing so local shop is having a .72 ratio for it which is good for a auto truck that pulls.

id say 100-150s if youve got that s300 and an aftermarket exhaust. I tow a 24 ft cattle trailer and a 20 ft flat bed with a 8k lb loader with mine with the edge juice set on level 3 with my 150s and i see around 1000-1100 crusing, at the max, maybe 1200-1250 and thats confirmed with ym mechanical pyrometer, which is a stand alone gauge not connected to the same probe(as some have asked before) i also get around 16.5 in town(unloaded) and 20.3 highway(unloaded), hand calculated of course. if you dont mind me asking, whered you order the s300 from??

Fireball 100's would be perfect fit with the s300, run the juice on level 1 or 2 and about 3 on low boost fueling to keep the fuel off the bottom while you are towing should work good for you. Ill shoot you a price on them.

thanks man. I found it by accident on ebay. Guy bought it for his mustang and it wouldn't clear some pieces in his engine bay. So I got it for 380 shipped to me and the new exhaust housing is 300... And will be put on for less than 100 bucks once it's done. So I will have a complete installed brand new turbo for under 800.
