Everytime I got the truck to the garage to check it everything was ok so I took my test light with me and when I was on the road and it did it I checked the wire and sure enough there wasn't any juice in it. Screwed the needle in a little farther and all is good!

Haha glad to see you got it! Try putting a little somthing on the nut/wire so it doesn't loosenup! Mine did!


Dukeboy; yeah its not that hot. That's what it reads. I freaked out and got a themometer and double checked.

I see you already have this solved but, I wanted to go ahead and clarify something abou the MAP voltage.


the map sensor the voltage is 0.983 and on the drb III it reads 13.5 psi. When I unplug the adrenaline and hook up the truck so that it is back to stock then it reads 1.05 volts and 14.5 psi.
This is perfectly fine and normal readings. The fluctuation of .067 could easily just be fluctuation base don ambient conditions or simply because there are longer wires attached to it.

The readings the MAP sensor gives are Absolute PSI. This means you need to take the current barometric psi and subtract it from the reading on your DBIII, This will give you an accurate boost pressure or manifold pressure. On average the BARO is 14.7 but, it does fluctuate. This means you were seeing anywhere from -0.2 to -1.2 which is actually vacuum and that is normal at idle. We just don't show vacuum on our gauge.


also, my map sensor reads 2-3 psi lower then my mechanical boost guage too!!
This is also pretty normal and common. It is not that either gauge is right or wrong but, most of the mechanical boost gauges we see are tapped into the intake horn which is going to show a higher pressure because of the size of the area it is in.

Also, depending on which gauge you use many of the analog manufacturers have a really high tolerance of 7-10% which could also be the difference.
