Compression fitting. What did you do. All you need is a 3/8 brass nipple from any hardware store to screw into the top of the filter cannister and then use a high pressure fitting and hose from their to attatch the pressure guage to.

Thats pretty much what I did. for the fuel gauge its brass hose with those ferrels that crimp down on the line when the nut they sit in tightens on the fitting in the top of the canisher. Same type for the Boost Gauge but nylon hose that was glued into the line but now i got ferrel and nut on that line as well.

Alright, I have adjusted the APPS sensor from a high .72v to factory setting of .62v. This has seemed to help out some. The truck idles different in a good way and when I jump on it it will wake up around 3k rpm's. I still cant get it smooth with TST above 4 but Now Thanks to everyone i know that i'm not pushin enough fuel volume. The question i'm facing now is go with the complete Air Dog or just keep my 15+ psi setup and get the big line kit. Whats the vote.....

My Vote goes to Air Dog , Ive had about 7 Different Set ups on my truck and i finally dont even think about it with the Air Dog :)

Thats what I'm really thinking to because of the noise and peace of mind. I know i can push enough fuel to feed the vp, But its so noisy in the cab with that f.p gauge. I was thinknig of just that one kit on Glacier Diesel Power that sells all high press JIC fittings instead of the Banjo's like Bubba was sayin so i think that work great but its back to the what if and the sound. So i guess i'll go with Airdog. Now i need some Green. Thanks for everything yall.

If your lookin at Glacier he also sells the belt drive lift pump which is what I'm runnin. Nothin aganst AirDog at all, it's a great system. I'll just never go back to electric motor pumps. The belt drive system is mechanical pump that runs off the flywheel. As close as you can come to the 12V pump and still keep the modern conveniences. The best part of the belt drive is that as your RPM's and the flywheel turns faster so does the fuel pressure. So when you need extra fuel the most it is being delivered by default.

I considered that way as well, I'm Not eliminating that option at all, It wont be for a few weeks till i'm going to have enough spare change to make a purchase. I'll have it figured out by then though. Did it come with all of the JIC fittings to git rid of the banjos?

Uncle Bubba 06-14-2008 07:01 PM

Nope, only the fittings you need to plumb the pump. It comes with the Pump, Flywheel pulley, belt, inline regulator and fuel return fitting for the tank. I know there were a few fittings with the kit but don't remember exactly what they were. I been runnin it for a while now.

P0253

I got the p0253 the other day and the shop told me I need a new injection pump, so I order a new pump. But a buddy told me it could be the return check valve?
