Air Intake Silicone Boot
Where can I get a Black Silicone Boot for the air intake to turbo. I have the rest of them replaced already but I can't find this one last boot and the stock one that's on it is leaking.
Thought I'd beat somebody to it. I know this boot isn't normaly under pressure but I'd still like it to match the rest of the boots and it's leaking bad enough that it's probably pullin outside air in bypassing the filter. |
maybe a 4" fernco fitting or something like that from home depot or lowes would work.

Damn Doc, they got everything. They should have what I'm lookin for I just need to go pull it off the truck and get exact measurements. Thanks
|
Thanks Doc. You just cost me another $40 and added yet another to my favorites list. Got so many favorites now that I can't find anything when I want it. It sure is cheaper when nobody replies.:ouch:

No problem...I used to have a link for the pure silicone ones - couldnt find it though. If you need a silicone one and can wait, it might be able to find them for you.
|
Nah those will do just fine. Already got it ordered.:c:

Ill still post it if I run across it.

I saw em but they didn't have the right size. I needed 4" on both ends and all they offered was a 3" on one end and 4 on the other.

so are you trying to tell me I can get these silicone boots on here for hundreds less than the ones you would find on lets say geno's garage?!?!?! Cuz I mean if I can then wow. Please tell me if I am mistaken... anyways thanks for the info!

You can get the 2 straight ones but not the 2 45's that you need. As far as i know you have to buy the solicone boots in sets from the other shop's so you would be out of luck on buying them seperately.
I also don't know that these would be as heavy as the silicone boots you see in these sets. May be, but I doubt it because they are not giving any pressure ratings on these. |
try airflow research they have quite a bit of stuff along that line

Got the boot in the other day and just wanted to let everybody interested know. These are some rubber boots now. This boot weighs as much as the whole intake and at least 1/4 inch thick heavy rubber.
I don't think they would work for the intercooler boots. Because they are so thick they wouldn't fit against the edge of the truck body where the lowers run. |
Glad you like....

There is also Hose Techniques.
