Airtex
As everyone knows Airdog or FASS makes the best aftermarket fuel pumps on the market. My new truck has a stock carter thats running 13psi at idle and I can pull it down to 6 with just a Smarty. I am going to install the new Airtex pump and do some testing on it. I want to see how well it holds up to a Quadzilla Adrenaline and then some 100-150hp Injectors.
Let us know how it does. I would be interested in seeing how it does with the Adrenaline as well. I've looked into the Airtex pump for when my intank/Holley red goes south on me. Keep us informed.

I agree would like to know the same my holley is only a month old now but it's my second
Should get it and the Adrenaline installed on Wednesday. It looks like a very stong well built pump. I ment to order it with the 1/2 line but I just got the 3/8. I will keep you guys posted.
I thought the airtex came with the same inlet outlet size as the stock lift pump
The Kit includes 3/8 line unless you want something different.

If your going with that big of injector and a stack box setup. Why wouldn't you go with a bigger than OEM replacement pump? Your edge and smarty stack and some 150's will probably be too much for your Airtex. You can just pickup a raptor for cheaper than both and it will get all the flow you need to.
I am doing this to test out the Airtex Pump. I want to push this pump to its limit and see what happens. And no you can't get a Raptor pump for less than a Airtex Pump.
Okay i see what your doing. And you can get a Raptor pump by itself. Which is cheaper than the Airdog system. Is what i was stating.
I don't usually recommend the Airtex for installs beyond that of a simple plug in box like an EZ or Smarty or Quad.
Wire tap boxes will usually push the pump past it's limits. Especially in the later model 2nd gens. For all wire tap installs I start with the Raptor system. Dave |
