Injectors or nozzles?
 

Well basically my question is the title...should i go with 100hp injectors or nozzles?

I would recommend injectors, the pop pressure are already set properly and will give you better mpg and power potential, it is worth the extra couple bills in my opinion :choochoo:

Agreed with above. Plus less down time if you take your current injectors to a diesel shop to get the nozzles swapped. I highly suggest you DON'T do the swap yourself. Although it is possible, your pop pressures may be off upon reassembly.

IF you have the down time available, and your local shop can do the swap for less than the difference between nozzles and full body injectors, then go for nozzles. After the swap, and suggested orings and copper washers, you will likely be more than full body injectors.

I was thinking about writing pretty much the same thing, but i figured i would keep it simple! everyone may try to sell you on injectors. i switched from industrial injection to CPP Injectors and i love them. I am sure RAW has another injector that he likes! LOL

When asked what is the best ______, I always say it's what works best for you.

In case you were wondering scottxmorris, the only difference in bigger injectors is the nozzle. The bodies are all the same.

Thanks guys my trucks completely stock and i love cummins will never go to another brand of diesel i want my truck to be as bad as possible getting the most hp i can without spending major bucks and not doing but so mich to the truck thanks again:c:

Will a 70gph be enough to support the vp with 100hp injectors?

If you get yourself a fuel pressure gauge you will find out very quick if it will or will not. It will for sure with no tune, but when you throw a good chip/programmer/tuner/box/whathaveyou, it may bring it down quite a bit. Gauges are in order with any modification!!

70 would likely be border line. Flow isn't needed just to put fuel in the cylinders, but it is also used to cool the electronics of the VP44. IMO, 100GPH is the lower limit. A member on here hit 640HP with a Raptor100GPH.

As mentioned above, a gauge is the best security to keep your $1000+ injection pump alive.
