muffler needed with compounds?

In the near future, I am adding compounds and 5" single exhaust. I was thinking of going with flo pro in stainless. I'm not sure if I need that muffler or not. I know the kit is sold either way. I am considering ordering the exhaust without it, as I can always add one later. However, I value everyone's opinions...with the extra turbo, is that enough to quite things down at an acceptable level when, say, pulling a load at highway speeds? I don't want annoying loud or droning, but I do not want to quiet this thing down so much it totally loses its character either. heh. Or should I just order that exhaust with the muffler right from the start...?!?!

Why 5"? 4" is plenty and don't have the droning noise that 5" has. Just my opinion. I have a 4" flowmaster system and it sounds good and no droning.

TO MUFFLER OR NOT TO MUFFLER

HAVING INSTALLED EXHAUST SYSTEMS FOR OVER 20 YEARS I WOULD SAY BASED ON YOUR COMMENTS THAT YOU SHOULD GO WITH A MUFFLER.
KEEP IN MIND THE MUFFLER THAT COMES WITH THE FLO-PRO EXHAUST IS A STRAIGHT THROUGH PERFORATED MUFFLER. THIS MUFFLER WILL ONLY KNOCK DOWN THE SOUND A SMALL AMOUNT.

AFTER YOU INSTALL YOUR NEW 5 INCH EXHAUST AND YOU STILL HAVE TOO MUCH SOUND I WOULD RECOMMEND A FLO-PRO TWISTER MUFFLER. PLACING THE TWISTER MUFFLER AS FAR FORWARD IN THE SYSTEM AS YOU CAN WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST RESULTS IN CONTROLLING THE SOUND.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME A CALL IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ORDER OR WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATION.

I run 5" straight pipe with my twins.

twins do quiet down the exhaust significantly vs a single turbo with straight pipe.

as long as your exhaust is side exit from the rear of the truck, shouldn't have a droning problem... but if you have stacks....well you're just begging for a droning problem.
