Hey guys I was wondering what you think this set up would put out I already have the lift pump and trans and the edge
150hp injectors
Silver phatshaft 64 turbo
Head studs
Edge juice with attiude cts with a smarty(no timing)
Three piece manifold
Fully built ats trans. Built for pulling
Intake horn
Raptor lift pump
Valve springs
Pushrods
If you guys could give me your opinion that would be great

turbo is too big for the injectors..

62/71/14 is as large as you want to go with 150s

How big of injectors would you go?

CumminsCrazed runs a 64 and 150's, and likes what it does for him. Gets a little warm at WOT, but says it goes good. Maybe hit him up.

How makes good injectors for a reasonable price? I'm debating on going with the bd high flow injectors. Any thoughts on them

DFI injectors.

if you want a 64, go with 7x.012 or 6x.013 injectors.

150s (7x.010) will just smoke and lag till about 2400rpm...

62/71/14 or 63/68/14 will spool faster and make more power off of the 7x.010.

What if I did 200s with a 66

again laggy... 64 + "200s" (7x.012) would be a decent combo.


what do you plan on doing with the truck?

btw: stacking a smarty with an edge won't gain you any power... most likely lose power on a dyno.

I lost 70hp stacking a smarty with the adrenaline on the dyno. and I tried it both ways, with and without timing (and opposite timing setting on the adrenaline so both did not do timing at the same time) and got the exact same results.

I plan on using the truck as a daliy for right now and for pulling. I thought you could stack a smarty and an Edge if you do timing on only one of them?

I didn't say you can't stack them... I just said you will lose peak hp/tq by doing so.

it will make it "feel" like you have more power because the bottom end fueling will be more aggressive, but your numbers will actually be lower if you put it on a dyno.


basically it is redundant anyway to stack a smarty with an edge as an edge already does canbus fueling which is the only kind of fueling a smarty does. So what happens is you have two different sets of commands fighting each other over how much injector duration to use.


if you really wanted to stack: a better stack would be a smarty with a TST comp. A TST comp ONLY does wiretap fueling. it does not do canbus fueling or timing, so a smarty would compliment it perfectly as the smarty ONLY does timing and canbus fueling so it fills in the missing pieces. :tu:
