FASS Titanium Series Fuel Pump

If I replaced my fuel pump with this would I have to make any other modifications to match the fuel coming out? It sounds like it would mess with my f/a ratio which I have a stock turbo also, so I feel like it would just smoke like a train without a upgraded turbo, or am I wrong?

Any comments are appreciated.

And will this affect my MPG? If so by how much?

No additional mods are needed but a fuel pressure gauge is recommended. The lift pump will not make it smoke more. What it is going to do is supply the injection pump with ample fuel psi to keep it cool and lubricated so it will last a bit longer. You probably will not see an increase in mpg

lol

it's a diesel, not a gasoline, the lift pump has no affect on air fuel ratio at all, nor does a diesel really care about air fuel ratio.

your injection pump controls your fuel to boost ratio... it injects lightly until boost is seen and then increases the amount of fuel it injects while boost is present to prevent smoking. all of that goes out the window when you start heavily modifying them cause then your right foot becomes smoke control :tu:

A GOOD lift pump will prolong injection pump and injector life, plus give you room to grow in the fuelling end for more power.

Anyone know if that's a good pump?

jigabop 10-11-2013 01:00 PM

yes, FASS titanium is a great lift pump :tu:

you just need to decide what your power goals are in the future...

fass95 will handle up to about 450hp... FASS150 will handle 500hp+

you won't have to worry about larger than that unless you plan on doing 900hp+ with a p7100 conversion with huge twins custom injectors, etc....

I don't think I'm gonna be going that big I just wanna have enough power to do what I need meaning towing a lot of heavy equipment, usually hay bales etc.

This is one I've been looking at. I'm new to this stuff 98-04 dodge will fit my 24v right?

jigabop 10-14-2013 12:46 PM

that pump is serious overkill and fuel pressure is too high for a vp44.

you want one regulated to ~20psi max and only need a 95-150gph pump...

Get the Fass titanium 95 GPM that will be plenty
