twin turbo questions
 

Moved to oregon, current setup pretty laggy, smokey and somewhat high egts up to 1300. Looking at some twins and dropping injectors down to 100's. Any advice on brand? I do tow monthly up to 11,000.

DDP injectors tend to be smokey. I used to have a set of DDP150s and they hazed at idle and smoked quite a bit.

my current injectors haze and smoke even more, but they much more powerful :D

anyway...

sell your injectors and your turbo's and get some 7x.010s from DFI.

then hit up jacob at DAP for a borg warner 57/65/12 and a borg warner 72/83/1.10AR with crazy carls S300/S400 twin plumbing kit. (DON'T BUDGE ON THOSE SPECS!! they cost more than a 57/65/14 and a 75/96/1.32 but they spool MUCH faster and work MUCH better with those injectors)

it will be your best performance setup that will clean up your truck and spool fast while making a lot of power. you won't even have to watch the pyrometer at all while towing.

you will need valve springs and push rods as well to prevent floating the valves with the higher boost pressures. search for budget push rods and valve springs on this forum or on cumminsforum. the parts I listed will save you quite a bit of money in those departments.

You're going to absolutely LOVE that setup and it will put you at a solid 500hp+ level with wiretap fueling turned up.

That does look like a good setup, kinda looking at trading mine in for an 08 megacab manual now since i have two kids. The crap they have to have all the time fills up the quadcab.

I hope you were careful getting back into your truck; pooping yourself in the truck is going to take that resale value down a bit!

That's a generous offer though, I'm very surprised the offer was that high from a dealership. If you need the room for your family, it sounds like a pretty good idea splitting with your 2nd gen and buying the bigger truck.

haha ya i was just shocked. i just looked at them and said i'd think about it but inside i was wanting to hoot and holler! most of the trucks around here that are 1999-2002 are going for about 18ish from the dealerships which is just high i think, but for sure need a bigger truck for the kids. just want to be able to get egr/dpf delete if i get a 6.7
