2001 dodge ram 3500 DRW mods

Hello you guys I bought this truck to pull a 53 foot wedge with cargo trailers on it and I wanted opinions on what performance mods I should do to the truck as far as programmers exhaust etc. The truck is bone stock now. Thanks you guys

If it doesn't have some kind of aftermarket lift pump, id start there first. Then cold air intake and turbo back exhaust. If towing a lot aftermarket gauges are deff. something worth having. Depending on power youre looking for will determine the tuner/box you want. Id say for a tow vehicle an edge ez would be one to look at. What type of transmission is in the truck?

chg trans filter and adjust bands if it's an auto.

#1-Gauges, fuel pressure at a minimum. If lift pressure is low, get ready for a $1000+ bill for an injection pump, as that means the pressure has been low and it's been hurting the VP44 injection pump (not good). Hopefully you'll have good pressure. A healthy 14-18 is good at idle or cruising

#2-Aftermarket lift pump, FASS or AirDog. How big of a pump depends on how much power you want down the road. Some people run 150 models with fuel and water separators.

#3-Cold air intake and free flow exhaust

#4-Tuner. For mileage and a little more giddy-up, I'd go with a Smarty, if you'd like more power and built in gauges, so you can monitor many vitals (EGT, fuel pressure, boost, trans temp, etc) that is back up camera compatible - go with an Edge CTS

#5-Injectors and/or Turbo

Hope this helps. -Chris
