Guys With QCSB 4wd's, Where'd you mount your airdog ??
 

I am involved with trying to get my airdog 150 installed. Where did you guys mount it. Do I need to fab up some brackets. I Do not like how low the filters are when on the outside the frame and be able to clear the park brake cable. So if somebody could post up some of their pics of where its mounted. or explain where you put and what you had to do.

I installed mine on the outside of the frame right about where my drivers side door meets the back door, had no problem with the parking brake cable.. havent had an issue with how they sit either, been on there for a little more than a year now.. when i changed the filters in november there wasnt any dents on em from the gravel roads around here or anything just some mud left over from the gncc iron man.. :c:

Thanks, I do take my truck off road at times. That is why I am concerned with how low they set.
Hopefully others will chime in and maybe post up a pic or two. If I have to I guess I could always built a skid plate for it.

I have a FASS 150 titanium. Same issue though...I agonized over this for more time than I'd like to admit. Haha. for the same reasons as you. I ended up biting the bullet and sticking it on the external side of the drivers side frame rail. I wasn't 100% happy with this. Alhtough it's not visible from looking at the truck from the side, it is visible from the rear tire. The good news is that it's easily accessible for constant inspection and maintenance. That is a big plus fo rme. I mounted it as high as I could. I had to cut some of it's mounting frame off to do so. I took me a long time messing with it to get as high and out of the way as I could. It's a tight fit on the top and sides, but is not touching any metal anywhere. It's the best I could do without getting crazy fancy. I can't upload pics. The website upload keeps crashing. Finally got the thing mounted up far enough where I feel its safe. I had to fab some mounts and the quick connect fittings are a joke for limited space. It really turned into a real PITA. I ended up spending another 60 bucks just for fittings to get the lines run so they weren't kinked.

Once I got it all primed and back running, I was idling at only 14-15 lbs. So I changed out the spring so now at idle 16-18 Lbs. WOT about 15 lbs. So I'm happy with the end result.

my father just installed one up by the bed... its outta the wayy, and still sends fuel.
