i think i need a clutch any recommendations

my truck wont go in gear and i have changed slave cylinder and master cylinder the truck wont go into gear from a stand still if it is rolling u can shift without the clutch and if it is not running it will go rite into any gear. if you have any ideals that could keep me from putting a clutch in it let me know please but if it is was wondering a good clutch would be for me it is a 1999 3500 dodge 5.9 cummings 4x4 with a mild chip upgrade that the previous owner had put in so thats all i know about the chip. i use the truck to haul bobcat and lawn mowers sometimes i use it to haul dirt gravel things like that

Does your clutch pedel feel good. Do you feel good resistance on the pedel right at the top when you first start to push on it? If it feels soft for the first 3/4 to 1 inch then it may need to be bled more. Did you change the push rod and bushing from clutch pedel to the clutch master, and was the pin on the pedel in good shape. Theses are the first things that i look at when a truck comes in with this issue.

the peadal is soft right at the top about an inch and the slave cylider still hasnt broke the tabs on it but i was thinking that it should have a little play at the top of the peadal i dont know how to get thepeadal any firmer tho i have pumped the hell out of the cllutch and we couldnt get it bled the only way we could get what we do have it to put an air gun on the cap and force air into it while pumping the clutch and it feels really good but you say the peadal needs to be firm rite from the top?

Yeah I was looking for a recommendations on a brand or how stout of a clutch for what I'm doing. But I should of know there would be some dumb ass trying to be funny. I know how to drive and clutches go out so talk shit somewhere else

Ya the pedal should not be spongy at the top. They are hard to bleed. this takes two but, remove slave and hold it i such a way that the plastic line is to the top and the push rod is down, that way the air in slave can be pushed back into line and up to res. release the plastic holder tabs, Push the push rod back into slave by hand, then wait aprox. 10 to 20 sec. have some one slowly push clutch pedal down a couple of times and as rod pushes out you hold it at that position.. ! caution ! .. don't let push rod come all the way out past end of travel . Wait 10-20 sec. with rod extended.. this allows air bubbles to work there way up line a bit then repeat ..Do this about 4 times and reconnect your lock tabs and reinstall slave. Now see if it will brake tabs as you press clutch pedal a few times. Good luck
